I was SO thrilled when my cousin asked me to photograph her wedding day! Anita & Dan decided to get married back in Anita’s hometown of Neepawa, Manitoba. Since she comes from a long line of golfers, her parents having been members for 20+ years, they decided to get married at the Neepawa Golf & Country Club. They had both the ceremony and tent reception on the course, the only wedding that has been held there. I started off with the girls getting ready and migrated over to the groomsmen (+ Dan’s best woman Jamiy!) to snap a few of them before we did the first look.
We met at Park Lake for a first look and to do some bride + groom portraits. Anita & Dan chose to do their first look privately, but luckily the wedding party had a view from a distance across the creek! In the middle of the first look Anita spotted a massive spider on Dan’s shoulder and had to pause to get me to take it off!
After the first look we headed to the golf course for the ceremony where their close friend married them, and then took the carts out on the course to do some more portraits before the ceremony. We could not have asked for a better day, the weather was perfect. Just as we entered the tend for the grand entrance it started to rain!
A HUGE thanks to Lina Gordon (Lina Gordon Photography) for assisting me for the day!
Anita & Dan I wish you all the very best, and now I want some babies to photograph 😉
Scroll down to see countless funny moments from the day and a list of vendors at the end!
Anita saw a giant spider on Dan’s back, so we took a mini pause for me to remove it!!
When you forget your bouquet in the golf cart….
I even manage to sneak into a photo every now and then;) ……I promise I won’t do this on your wedding day, Anita was family!
We stopped to get a picture of Anita & her sister Angela on this bench that sits on one of the holes, which actually has their name on it!
So….one of Anita + Dan’s friends decided to fundraise some money to get the couple to kiss (any donation made to the Manitoba Alzheimer’s Society, got the couple to kiss). However, he wasn’t just fundraising for the bride and groom to kiss, but a showdown between them and the bride’s parents!
